Kansas City Chiefs' offensive weapon boldly claims he's the team's fastest player

It's no secret that the Kansas City Chiefs have a ton of speed on offense.

This has been their fashion for most of the Andy Reid era – from former players such as Jamaal Charles, Jeremy Maclin, Tyreek Hill and Sammy Watkins – to current players such as Hollywood Brown, Xavier Worthy, Mecole Hardman, Kadarius Toney and Isiah Pacheco.

No one uses speed better than Coach Reid, whether with the deep ball, screen passes, or scheming guys to get into space and create after the catch. Despite being good enough to win the Super Bowl, the Chiefs offense desperately lacked speed last season.

This should no longer be a problem in 2024 with the additions of Brown and Worthy. Even the addition of former rugby star turned running back Lous Rees-Zammit, although he's nowhere near making the active 53-man roster, would provide even more speed to the Chiefs' offense.

Ultimately, though, there can only be one guy who claims the title of fastest player on the team. Although we're not sure, Hollywood Brown, who Kansas City signed as a free agent this offseason, has a claim to the title right now.

He was, of course, light-hearted, but he said it while speaking with reporters at a local youth football camp Saturday. As soon as the words were out of his mouth, rookie Xavier Worthy expressed a friendly disagreement, followed by complimenting Brown as a mentor.
