K9 teams and deputies search for missing boy in Live Oak

The Suwannee County Sheriff's Office said in a video update on Facebook that they were still looking for the boy. They received many leads. A local web search was of no use. They are now activating mutual aid with several agencies. There will be a 24-hour search until they locate Koehn.

Although you may be tempted to participate in the search on your own, we ask that you allow these professional K9 teams to continue to work and search, as a flood of other sources of odors in the area from citizens searching alone can sometimes contaminate a search area. .

We are asking citizens who have information or who see or potentially know where Scott is to contact SCSO Dispatch.

If you live near the area and have security cameras, we ask that you check them and see if they captured Scott.

As we obtain new information, we will provide updates via social media.

Scott Koehn, a 12-year-old white male, was last seen around 5:30 p.m. in the 21300 block of 168th Street in Live Oak, Florida. Scott left his residence on foot in an unknown direction. Scott was last seen wearing camouflage pants and a hooded jacket, with pull-on cowboy boots. Deputies and area corrections K9 teams have been searching the area of ​​Scott's property since this afternoon using K9 teams and drones. So far, search efforts have been unsuccessful in locating Scott.
