Johnny Wactor Death: General Hospital Star Dies Aged 37 After Alleged Los Angeles Shooting

General Hospital star Johnny Wactor died tragically at the age of 37 after being shot during what is believed to be an attempted robbery.

His agent confirmed the sad news of his death to Variety in a heartbreaking statement, saying the late star was a “spectacular human being.”

“Not just a talented actor dedicated to his craft, but a true moral example to all who knew him,” said his agent David Shaul.

“He champions hard work, tenacity and a never-give-up attitude. Through the ups and downs of a difficult profession, he has always kept his head held high and continued to strive to give his best- even.

“Our time with Johnny was a privilege we wished on everyone. He would literally give you the shirt off his back.

“After more than a decade together, he will forever leave a hole in our hearts.”

Authorities said an alleged shooting occurred in downtown Los Angeles when three suspects tried to take the catalytic converter from a man's car.

After the news broke, friends and fans flooded her Instagram page to pay tribute to the late star.

“The best guy,” one person wrote.

“You didn’t deserve this,” another added in part of their post.

According to reports from the United States, he is survived by his mother Scarlett and his brothers.

He is known for playing Brando Corbin in General Hospital.

He left the show in 2022 – when his character was killed off – and he reportedly spoke out on social media in the days afterward about fan support.

“It’s been a few days since the disappearance of Brando Corbin in Port Charles as we know it,” he said at the time.

“I have to tell you, I was so blown away by the reaction from the fans. I didn't know you cared so much about my character.”
