Jared Ravizza Timeline: From Alleged Murder in Connecticut to Series of Stabbings in Massachusetts

SANDWICH, Mass. (WWLP) – An Agawam man was arraigned Tuesday on multiple charges in connection with the stabbings of four young girls and two McDonald's employees in Massachusetts.

22News obtained court documents on the alleged crime spree and details the incidents that took place Saturday. These documents show that the suspect, Jared Ravizzahas home addresses in Chilmark, West Tisbury and Lakeview Circle in Agawam.


Murder in Deep River, Connecticut

According to Connecticut State Police, on Saturday around 3:36 p.m., troopers were called to a home on Merriwold Lane in Deep River for a disturbance. Officers learned that a suspect had approached the home and thrown a shovel through the front door window, then left.

A complainant was able to identify the suspect to police as someone who was staying on Maritone Lane where another disturbance was reported. Officers attended the address and found a man dead with visible injuries outside the home. The victim was identified as Bruce Feldman, 70, of West Hartford.

Officers learned that another person was at the home earlier in the day, identified as 26-year-old Jared Ravizza. Ravizza's personal effects were reportedly found at the home and witnesses were able to provide a description of him.

At approximately 5:30 p.m., Connecticut State Police contacted Massachusetts State Police in Springfield to check Ravizza's Agawam residence on Lakeview Circle. A Be On The Lookout (BOLO) was issued shortly thereafter in Massachusetts for a black Porsche.

Charges: Still on hold due to arrest in Massachusetts for other incidents.

Stabbing in a cinema in Braintree

Around 6 p.m., Ravizza entered the AMC movie theater in Braintree. He walked past the ticket counter and entered the theater area without paying.

Inside the theater, he approached four young girls and, without saying anything, allegedly stabbed them. The victims were identified as girls aged 9 to 17 and are all expected to be OK.

Ravizza was then seen on surveillance camera leaving the area.

Charges: Four counts of assault and murder, four counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon – knife

McDonald's workers stabbed in Plymouth

Ravizza was then seen at the Route 3 rest area in Plymouth just before 6:50 p.m. Before entering the McDonald's drive-thru, Ravizza was seen by a witness urinating in the Route 3 rest area, fully exposing himself to the public.

Ravizza was later seen in the McDonald's drive-thru on surveillance cameras and was described as upset by the price of his order. He asked the employee to check the food in the bag to make sure the order was correct. The employee confirmed the order was correct and when he handed Ravizza his order, Ravizza allegedly grabbed him through the window and stabbed him with a long kitchen knife. The employee was injured in the arm.

Ravizza then parked his vehicle in front of the building, entered and allegedly stabbed another employee in the shoulder, a woman who was on her first day of work at the fast food restaurant. Ravizza then left in his Porsche.

Charges: Two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon – knife, assault with a weapon leading to murder, indecent exposure

Sandwich car chase leads to arrest

Ravizza was arrested around 7:15 p.m. Saturday evening in Sandwich after leading police on a car chase that ended after his vehicle crashed on Cotuit Road. He was arrested and taken to hospital for injuries.

Ravizza was arraigned on Tuesday and is being held on bail. He was also ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation.

It is important to note that all information contained in court documents are allegations and the suspect remains innocent until proven guilty in court.
