Israeli airstrike kills 45 Palestinians near Ga Red Cross office

Bombing by Israeli forces killed 45 Palestinians following close combat with Hamas, Reuters reported.

The Red Cross said its Gaza office was destroyed when “large caliber projectiles” fired by the Israeli army landed in Mawasi, near Rafah, on Friday afternoon, killing at least 25 people living in tents. around the complex and injuring 50 others.

“This incident caused a massive influx of casualties to the nearby Red Cross field hospital, with the hospital receiving 22 dead and 45 injured, with reports of additional casualties.”

“The strike damaged the structure of the ICRC office, which is surrounded by hundreds of displaced civilians living in tents, including many of our Palestinian colleagues,” the ICRC said.

He said all parties are required to take measures to prevent harm to civilians and humanitarian facilities.

The Israeli military said it would investigate the incident.

More than 37,000 people have been killed in Gaza following the Israeli military campaign following Hamas attacks last October, killing hundreds and taking many hostages.
