Irving man stabs girlfriend to death, police say – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

The Irving Police Department said it has arrested a man accused of stabbing a woman to death.

Police said that on Monday, July 1, around 6:15 a.m., they responded to an “unknown” call in the 3100 block of Walnut Hill Ln.

When police arrived, they found Sucel Cuba Gomez, 42, dead from multiple stab wounds.

In a news release, police said the suspect, Yunier Aldazabal, 44, fled the scene in a vehicle. Around 9 a.m., police found his vehicle in a parking lot in the 2800 block of W. Irving Boulevard. Police said Aldazabal was inside.

Officers arrested him without incident.

They learned that Aldazabal and the victim “were a couple.”

The investigation is ongoing and police are asking for more information.
