Instagram influencer Genie Exum reportedly facing assault charges after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend.

On October 18, New York City police responded to a 911 call about a man being assaulted in an apartment, authorities confirmed to E! News in a press release. When police arrived, the man told officers he had gotten into an argument with the 22-year-old model, who allegedly stabbed him in the arm and back with a kitchen knife.

Emergency responders also arrived on scene and transported the man to a nearby hospital, where he is currently in stable condition. Following the incident, Exum was arrested and charged with assault. E! News has reached out to Exum's attorney for comment and has not received a response.

Following his arrest, the The New York Post reported that Exum was released without bail during her arraignment in Manhattan Criminal Court, though prosecutors requested that she be held on bail for the second-degree assault charge. According to the outlet, the social media model did not publicly address the incident after returning home on October 19, but did mention her OnlyFans account when asked by a reporter.

The influencer, who has amassed over 37,000 followers on social media, also shared an Instagram Story post on Tuesday, October 19, from what appears to be a local police station.

She captioned the quick clip of her sitting next to an NYPD officer in a baseball cap, sweatshirt and green leggings: “They took my phone, I'm in the trap.”

Exum's boyfriend is expected to make a full recovery.
