Increased security at Clay County Sheriff's Office and Green Cove Springs police after reported threat – Action News Jax

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — The Clay County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) has reportedly increased security at the Sheriff's Office and the Green Cove Springs Police Department (GCSPD) after a threat was reported Tuesday morning.

The threat was communicated through the Saferwatch app, alerting authorities to the potential danger at their Green Cove Springs facility.

In response to the threat, the Clay County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) announced an increased CCSO and GCSPD presence in the area.

The measures include increased patrols and stricter security protocols. All persons attempting to enter the administration building, jail or courthouse will be subject to search.

CCSO informed Action News Jax that no one was injured and is actively working to locate the individual who called 911.

Action News Jax is on his way to the scene to gather more information.
