IAF planes eliminated Hamas weapons specialist Muhammad Salah on Sunday evening in Gaza, following intelligence reports.

Salah, who was responsible for projects and development at Hamas's weapons manufacturing headquarters, was also involved in the development of strategic weapons for the terrorist organization.

As part of his responsibilities, Salah commanded a number of Hamas terrorist squads that worked on weapons development.

IDF troops continue to conduct targeted intelligence-based operations in the Rafah region.

Troops located large quantities of weapons, including launchers used to fire on IDF troops who were in the Tel al-Sultan section of Rafah. The rocket launchers were dismantled by the troops.

Additionally, over the past day, IDF troops eliminated a number of armed terrorists who posed a threat and dismantled several tunnels in the Rafah area.

IDF troops also continue their operational activities in central Gaza. The troops spotted several terrorists operating in the area and eliminated them in a drone strike.

The Israeli Air Force also carried out numerous strikes against terrorist targets in the enclave, eliminating tunnel shafts, armed terrorist squads and other terrorist infrastructure.
