IDENTIFIED: 9-month-old child died in Fresno | YourCentralValley.com

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The 9-month-old baby who was found unresponsive next to a bed in a bedroom in Fresno was identified Thursday by the Fresno County Coroner's Office.

On May 24, police said they received a call around 8:30 a.m. about an unresponsive baby, who the coroner's office identified as Benjamin Yang, 9 months, of Fresno, in the 3000 block of E Washington Avenue, near First Street and Belmont Avenue.


When police arrived, they said they found the baby next to a bed in the bedroom. Yang was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The cause of death is unknown and remains under investigation.
