'I will not be found guilty,' stabbing accused tells court

A stabbing defendant waived his right to independently test DNA evidence recovered from a crime scene, saying “I will not be convicted,” before Washington Superior Court Judge Lynn Leibovitz on June 6.

Samuel Robinson, 44, is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon for his alleged involvement in a stabbing that occurred at the Mount Vernon Square subway station in the 700 block of M Street, NW, on February 6.

According to court documents, an individual who was later identified as Robinson got into a physical altercation with the victim on the subway platform, who was stabbed in the head.

Robinson suffered a cut finger in the fight and both individuals were taken to hospital.

The holidays are expected to return on August 26.
