“I didn't send dirty pictures on Snapchat”

More from Diplo

Diploma (real name Thomas Wesley Pentz) responded to the news that he had been sued for allegedly distributing revenge porn, saying he had never sent “dirty Snapchats” at the time he was accused of it.

The woman, who was 21 when she first met the DJ in June 2016, claimed they began exchanging sexual photos via Snapchat in April that year.

She also alleged that she had an on-and-off relationship with Pentz for seven years and claimed that he sometimes recorded their sexual encounters with her permission but never consented to her sharing them. Rolling stone reports.

Jane Doe alleged that in November 2023, she was approached by someone who claimed to have sexually explicit photos and videos of her dating back to October 2018.

She filed the complaint on November 7. In the days that followed, the New York Police Department issued an arrest warrant for Pentz “for distributing intimate images and/or videos depicting her,” according to the complaint.

In response to the civil lawsuit filed against him, Diplo took to Instagram on Sunday (June 30) and wrote, “Don't believe what you read in the news. I don't own a $100 million mansion, I didn't pay $500,000 to rave in Ibiza, and I didn't send dirty Snapchats in 2017.”

He continued: “Let's talk about how lucky I am to party with you and how great the raves are here in Europe. (Athens, Croatia, Prague, done. Paris, next).”

Pentz has already been in trouble for allegedly distributing revenge porn, Vanity Fair reports.

In October 2020, a woman named Shelly Auguste claimed the DJ sexually assaulted her, recorded the alleged assault without her consent and distributed revenge porn.

Auguste and Pentz sued each other in 2021. Pentz denied her allegations and described her as a “stalker,” claiming she was trying to extort him.

Pentz was awarded $1.2 million in the case against Auguste last year after an arbitrator found she violated a restraining order signed with the DJ.

Auguste is suing Pentz again, this time for sexual assault and defamation charges. The case will be heard in civil court in January 2025.
