I already thought the new thrown weapons in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree were sick, but at least one of them also seems to have near-infinite range

As shared by Elden Ring Media fan account X's “The Everything App,” Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree's new ranged weapons are even cooler than we thought, with the box art boss Messmer's Impaler's Lance seemingly having a near-infinite range that allows for some trick shots in the open world.

The Spear of the Impaler has a pretty impressive war ash that replicates one of Messmer's most infuriating combos during his boss fight (see also the wimpy version of the Waterfowl Dance you can perform with the Hand of Malenia), but its real standout feature is its powerful attack, which throws the spear before it instantly returns to your hand. If you charge the throw, it will also unleash a blast of dark flames on impact.
