I-40 East Near White Bridge Pike Reduced to One Lane After Vehicle Rolls Over

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – I-40 East near White Bridge Pike in West Nashville is down to one lane as authorities work to clear a crash involving an overturned vehicle.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) said the crash was reported around 7:20 p.m. Thursday, July 4, on I-40 East near mile marker 203.6.

All eastbound lanes of I-40 were closed for several minutes as authorities worked to clear the wreck. By 8 p.m., the highway was down to one lane.

A detour has been put in place at Exit 201A as of 7:35 p.m., in accordance with TDOT.

The Nashville Police Department (MNPD) said the Nashville Police Department (MNPD) was on scene. It added that the Nashville Fire Department (NFD) transported several people to area hospitals, but it could not provide any information on their conditions.
