Husband of missing Dodge County woman arrested and charged with multiple unauthorized transactions

CLYMAN, Wis. (WBAY) – The ex-husband of a Dodge County woman last seen nearly three weeks ago has been arrested after unauthorized charges were made to her financial accounts.

According to a Facebook post from the Dodge County Sheriff's Office, Zachariah Rasch, 42, was arrested and charged with seven counts of Misappropriation of Identity Information – Obtaining Money.

The charges stem from the investigation into the disappearance of Crystal Rasch. She was last seen on June 11 and reported missing on June 23. On Thursday, the Dodge County Sheriff's Office released its investigation and asked people to avoid parts of the Clyman area where they are searching.

As part of the investigation, investigators reviewed Crystal's financial records and discovered numerous transactions involving her account, although they did not specify when they occurred. They found that the transactions were made by Zachariah without Crystal's consent.

Zachariah Rasch appeared in court Friday for an initial appearance, during which the judge ruled there were reasonable grounds to charge him. He is currently being held in the Dodge County Jail on $250,000 cash bail.

The Dodge County Sheriff's Office said it was continuing its investigation into Crystal's disappearance and would also be handling the case “in which a serious crime was likely committed.” He also said he would release information as he could during the investigation.
