Human trafficking operation leads to arrest of Bolingbrook man

BOLINGBROOK, IL — A 34-year-old Bolingbrook man was arrested and charged during a two-day anti-human trafficking operation in the Yorkville area, according to a release from the Illinois State Police.

Nathanael Beckley was charged with traveling to meet a child, which is a Class 3 felony.

According to a statement, the Illinois State Police Criminal Investigation and Human Trafficking Division also arrested two other people during the June 26-27 crackdown. The goal of the operation was to identify individuals seeking to engage in commercial sex acts.

The other two people arrested are Salvo Campagna, 39, of Plano, and Marcus Ramirez, 26, of Sandwich. Campagna was charged with indecent solicitation of a child, traveling to meet a child and solicitation to meet a child.

This operation is part of a multi-pronged approach by ISP to stop human trafficking in Illinois, Illinois State Police said. ISP special agents and SWAT officers partnered with the Kendall County Police Assistance Team, Kendall County Sheriff’s Office, Yorkville Police Department, DuPage Metropolitan Crime Squad, Will County Police Assistance Team and the North Central Narcotics Task Force for the operation. The Kendall County State’s Attorney’s Office also provided support for the operation.
