Human remains identified as those of missing local woman

EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio (WJW) – The Cuyahoga County medical examiner has identified human bones found in the backyard of an East Cleveland home.

The ME reports that the remains have been identified as 24-year-old Michelle Arnold.

Investigators found bones in a lot in the 14000 block of Strathmore Avenue on Monday, June 3.

FOX 8 featured Arnold in our missing segments.

The last time anyone saw Michelle was via Ring camera footage in October leaving an apartment complex in Warrensville Heights, according to FOX 8's Brad Hamilton.

FOX 8 spoke to Arnold's family in November.

“She would never go this long without talking to us. Never,” Michelle’s sister told FOX 8 at the time, pleading for information about the case.

The Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Department tells FOX 8 that deputies executed a search warrant in the 14200 block of Potomac Ave. in connection with a missing persons case.

Evidence found there led them to the location on Strathmore Road, the department said.

Arnold was reported missing from Warrensville Heights on October 26, 2023.
