Huge bill for Stroud woman who failed to identify driver

Amanda Jones, aged 28, of Mason Road, Stroud, failed to give police the identity of a Suzuki Alto driver.

It was alleged the driver was caught speeding at Nouncells Cross, Bisley Old Road, on October 4 last year.

The case was heard at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court on May 15 and was proven via the single justice procedure.

She was fined £660 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £264 plus £90 costs, making a total of £1,014.

She also got six points on her license.
