Hot weather with showers and risk of thunderstorms on Sunday in the metropolis

A weak cold front continues to drift south, helping to trigger severe thunderstorms Saturday afternoon.

Sunday, a light north wind brings a risk of scattered thunderstorms with highs of 80 degrees in the north and near 100 degrees on the Oklahoma-Texas border.

What will the weather be like on Saturday?

Wind speeds will be moderate and steady through Saturday and could reach 20 mph, with most of the metropolis remaining between 10 and 15 mph.

A warm breeze will blow for most of the day Saturday.

Storm risks continue to increase over the weekend, as there is a moderate chance of rain, golf ball-sized hail and scattered thunderstorms through Saturday night in northern areas of the metro.

What will the weather be like for the rest of the weekend?

Temperatures will remain dangerously warm through the rest of the weekend, with temperatures reaching 100 degrees and wind speeds reaching 15-20 mph on Sunday.

As the weekend progresses, temperatures are expected to cool down a bit as scattered thunderstorms move into the metropolis, bringing light to moderate showers and cooler breezes.
