Horror in Kentucky gun store as customer accidentally fires weapon and kills grandfather

A beloved grandfather was killed after a customer accidentally fired a weapon in a Kentucky gun store.

Chad Wainscott, 50, was killed on Saturday around 8:30 p.m., after an unidentified customer 'was viewing a firearm for sale and manipulating it' before a single round discharged, police said.

Wainscott was inside Humphrey Double H Farms Enterprises Inc. in Carroll County when he was struck by the bullet as other patrons attempted to save his life.

Kentucky State Police troopers found the wounded grandfather inside the firearm store being treated by paramedics. He was taken to Carroll County Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
