Horrifying video shows teen chased and attacked by gang

A teenager was shoved by a machete-wielding gang in front of a screaming crowd after an encounter in Hyde Park turned violent on Tuesday night.

Cellphone footage from around 9 p.m. shows the victim being chased by a group of masked men armed with knives and foot-long zombie poles.

As he desperately tried to flee, he slipped on the grass and was attacked by a man in a gray hoodie before being kicked, stabbed in the chest and hit with sticks in the during a brutal attack that lasted less than 20 seconds.

A woman who was filming the attack screams and swears: “He got stabbed!” There is a knife, there is a knife! Oh my God, oh shit, oh my God.

Using slang for stabbing, a male voice in the crowd said, “He was bothering him!” Oh shit, he annoyed him!

Another clip shows the man receiving a final blow to the chest as he lies motionless face up in the lawn that had been filled in just minutes earlier.

Police said the victim hoped to survive the encounter and asked for the public's help in trying to identify the attackers.

A Met spokesperson said: “He was taken to hospital where his injuries were assessed as not life-threatening.

” An investigation is underway.

“At this stage there have been no arrests.

“There were a lot of people in the park at the time of the incident and the police are appealing for witnesses.”

The broad daylight attack came just over an hour after another man, aged 23, tracked down police officers after being stabbed in the face in Hither Green Lane, south London.

He was taken to hospital where he is fighting to survive.

Ten young people have been arrested after an 18-year-old was stabbed to death on a tennis court in Montrose Park, Barnet, on Bank Holiday Monday.

Flower seller Tony Eastlake, 55, was stabbed to death in Islington, north London on Saturday.

And on Sunday police dog Kaiser was stabbed up to five times to the top of the head and once under the eye in Orpington.
