Hopkinsville man charged in Paducah stabbing

A Hopkinsville man has been charged in connection with a stabbing on Bloom Avenue in Paducah Friday evening.

Paducah police said they responded to a stabbing involving John Parker, 40, who had gotten into an argument with another man and stabbed him with a knife.

The man who was stabbed was reportedly found at the hospital after the incident and Parker was in the Bloom Avenue area still in possession of the knife.

Police said Parker admitted he was at the victim's home and an altercation took place, then he stabbed him. Parker was arrested and charged with first-degree assault.
