Home riddled with bullets after Saturday morning shooting

Police said the west Toledo home was hit by multiple bullets after a drive-by shooting around 9 a.m.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo police are investigating a drive-by shooting that occurred around 9 a.m. Saturday, June 8.

Police say several bullet casings were found inside a home in the 1300 block of Waverly Avenue, just north of Dorr Street.

Multiple bullet holes are visible in the front window and exterior siding of the house, and the storm door glass is broken. Several evidence markers could be seen scattered around the front lawn of the property.

Officers on scene told WTOL 11 that no one was home at the time of the drive-by shooting.

No injuries were reported following the incident.

Police have not released a motive for the shooting. Anyone with information is encouraged to call or text Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111. You can remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward.
