Home on Tupper Lake's Main Street razed to the ground by overnight fire

A building on Main Street in Tupper Lake was destroyed in a fire overnight, despite the efforts of ten different crews to contain the flames. Three fire trucks from the Tupper Lake Fire Department responded to Main Street around 2:40 a.m. Crews from 10 nearby towns, including Saranac Lake, Lake Placid and Malone, also responded to the scene to help contain the fire. Despite all the efforts of firefighters, the building was completely destroyed in the fire. The wreckage was still smoldering this morning as firefighters worked to extinguish the remaining embers. NBC5 has reached out to the Tupper Lake Fire Department for more information, but we have been unable to reach them at this time.
