Holt County Sheriff's Office investigates shooting on I-29 Wednesday | Best Stories

(HOLT COUNTY, Missouri) The Holt County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating a report of a shooter on I-29 on Wednesday, June 12, 2024.

KQ2 spoke with Lt. Ricky Shadden of the Holt County Sheriff's Office, and he made the statement Wednesday around 12:30 p.m.

“On June 12 at 10:44 a.m., a 911 call was made to the Sheriff's Office reporting that a Silver 2020 GMC terrain had been stopped in the middle of I-29 and was brandishing a firearm at another vehicle.

Holt County Deputies and the Missouri State Highway Patrol located and conducted a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle on I-29 at mile marker 78.4 southbound.

A 55-year-old black man from Louisiana was arrested without incident.

Several 38 caliber bullets were recovered from the victim's vehicle.

The man is in custody awaiting formal charges to be filed in connection with this incident. »
