Holmes County, Florida Sheriff's Office Arrests Brandon Bohannon for Assault on Law Enforcement, Methamphetamine and More

On June 15, 2024, deputies responded to a disturbance at 1925 Highway 90.

Brandon Bohannon allegedly caused extensive damage to the water pipes, air conditioning unit and other parts of his family's home.

When deputies arrived, they attempted to make contact with Bohannon, who had barricaded himself in an RV.

Bohannon threatened to attack any deputies who tried to enter, saying he would “hit them in the head with the spear he was holding.”

Additional deputies were called to the scene to attempt to negotiate Bohannon's peaceful surrender.

Despite their attempts, Bohannon remained uncooperative, throwing objects at the deputies in an attempt to hit them.

Given the growing threat, the SWAT team made forced entry into the RV and successfully apprehended Bohannon without incident. Inside the RV, a white powdery substance was found in plain view, which tested positive for methamphetamine.

Brandon Bohannon was charged with two counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, criminal mischief, possession of methamphetamine and resisting arrest.
