Hofstra University stabbing: Police investigating after 2 people stabbed at school in Hempstead, Long Island

HEMPSTEAD, Long Island (WABC) — Police are investigating after two people were stabbed Wednesday at Hofstra University on Long Island, according to police sources.

Police responded to the incident around 4:20 p.m. after two people were stabbed at the university's David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex.

Sources told Eyewitness News one person was in serious condition and another was in stable condition.

There was a high school graduation ceremony at the university on Wednesday.

No further details were provided.

The investigation is ongoing.
