Sheriff's offices from Tarrant and Grayson counties assisted DCSO in the operation, as did police departments from Lewisville, Argyle and Arlington.

Jason Collier, Highland Village fire chief since the summer of 2022, was also charged with resisting arrest, according to DCSO. Before being named fire chief, Collier served as HVFD deputy fire chief from 2008 to 2022.

In a statement, a spokesperson for the city of Highland Village said it acted in accordance with city personnel policies in placing Collier on paid administrative leave, pending further investigation.
