Weapon handling in Helldivers 2 can be random depending on the weapon. Players are also likely to be staggered, which can make lining up shots much more difficult. But some players have discovered a new armor perk that fixes this problem and improves the handling of many weapons.

These include some that are popular to carry when fighting the Terminids, which is handy since players were sent to face them in the Last Major Order.

u/PulseAmplification took to Reddit to share a tip for improving certain weapons in the game, specifically the Grenade Launcher and Flamethrower. This is done using a new armor set found in the Viper Commandos Warbond.

“The autocannon, a weapon I avoided because I hated the absurdly clunky feel, suddenly feels good and I use it a lot. I also rarely used to run Jar 5 for bugs for the same reason, but I do now. Even the grenade launcher and flamethrower feel so much better. Not that they were bad before, but I can't get over how much fun it is to use all these weapons without any drag now.

The armors in question are the Predator Light Armor and the Twigsnapper Heavy Armor from the latest Viper Commandos Warbond. The passive benefit for both of these “Improves weapon handling with less drag on weapon movement.”

This improvement is due to less drag when aiming. You will notice that when you move the camera or character and aim, there is a drag and you have to wait for the aim to catch up. This can sometimes make it difficult to fire quickly or return fire immediately after being hit.

If you've noticed that reticle drag is an issue, take a look at the new Viper Commandos Warbond armor and improve your weapon handling.
