Helldivers 2 patch fixes the game's most broken weapon since launch

Helldiverse 2 was a breakout success for Arrowhead Game Studios and SIE in the live service genre. The game has impressed everyone from fans to critics and is also considered a big contender for the Game of the Year award.

However, the last few months haven't been as kind to Arrowhead, the game, or the players as there have been a lot of issues. The developer has now released a patch, fixing a few issues, including a badly broken weapon.

Helldiverse 2 Developer Arrowhead has just released a patch.

Arrowhead Game Studios recently released a major update, bringing massive fixes and other quality of life improvements. However, the patch broke more than it fixed, including the FAF-14 Spear, which caused the game to crash when players tried to aim or simply tried to use it.

The developer has now announced that it has released an in-game patch that fixes several issues, including stability fixes and other general issues. But what got fans excited again was the FAF-14 Spear crash fix.

The Spear is one of the most popular weapons in the world. Helldiverse 2 and a large number of players use it. However, the weapon crash issue forced players to use alternative options and they were not satisfied. Several players had complained about it and the community manager assured them that a fix would arrive soon.

Now that the developer has brought the update, players who missed the weapon for a short but significant period of time will be happy to know that they can use the weapon again. Fans showed their enthusiasm with one player saying: “Happy days! *grabs the spear*.

The fix fixes more than just the lance issue

The patch fixes the Spear issue that was causing the game to crash.

Another crash issue was fixed with this update that caused the game to crash when players with unique Hellpod models quit during Hellpod launch cutscenes. It used to be another headache for players, but that's no longer the case. There are several other miscellaneous ones. fixes now available with the latest patch.

These include the fix for corrupted text displaying “?” for some characters when Traditional Chinese language has been selected. The Plasma Punisher not being able to fire from the SH-32 Shield Generator Pack and the FX-12 Shield Generator has also been fixed.

The Quasar Cannon now has the correct heat change on hot and cold planets. Fixed an issue that caused Spore Spewer to appear purple on some planets.

Pink question marks in missions on planets will no longer appear. A few other issues have also been fixed, in addition to those mentioned above. Arrowhead has been consistent with the title's post-launch support, but it appears the team is improving the game to deliver what it promised fans.
