Helena shooting victim identified by coroner's office

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A person found dead inside a vacant home on West Helena Street has been identified.

The Montgomery County Coroner's Office identified the individual as Jordan Jones, 29. The incident remains under investigation by the Dayton Police Department.

Following a 911 call, police responded to North Main Street around 11:45 a.m. An investigation led officers to West Helena Street where they located the individual inside a vacant home.

The Dayton Police Department has not provided any information about a suspect. Anyone with relevant information about the incident is asked to call 937-333-COPS or Crime Stoppers at 937-222-STOP.
