FORECAST DISCUSSION:

Happy Monday!

The hottest days of the year are here, with temperatures reaching the mid-90s much of this week. “Feel” temperatures will be even warmer as our humidity increases, giving us that higher heat index.

For our Monday, expect air temperatures in the mid-90s, with heat index values in the triple digits. The weather will be very muggy today, with mostly sunny skies. Due to the heat and humidity, parts of the region could experience a fast-moving, isolated storm later today.

Tuesday will be a similar pattern, with air temperatures in the mid-90s and “feel” temperatures in the triple digits. Once again, we will focus on isolated storms.

This warm spell continues, with temperatures ranging from the mid to 90s through the end of the work week. The humidity drops slightly, but it remains quite sticky.

Make sure to stay hydrated, wear light colors, and take breaks from the air conditioning. Always check your pets' sidewalk to make sure it's not too hot for their paws. And make sure you have sunscreen on hand all week!
