Hardin County Sheriff's Office continues efforts to find 66-year-old Michael Bolen | News






HARDIN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) – The Hardin County Sheriff's Office continues the search for a McGuffey man who has been missing since late March.






An update from the sheriff's office yesterday indicated that although the disappearance of 66-year-old Michael Bolen has entered the third month, the investigative division continues to search for Bolen's whereabouts. Officials say the office is following up on all potential leads, conducting interviews and conducting multiple searches. Hardin County utilized the services and resources of Ohio BCI&I, the Logan County Sheriff's Office, the Hardin County Prosecutor's Office and the FBI.






At the time of his disappearance, Mr. Bolen was 5 feet 11 inches tall, had gray hair and green eyes and weighed 185 pounds. He was last seen wearing glasses, a yellow tank top, blue jeans, a dark blue zip-up sweatshirt and white New Balance shoes.

Hardin County Chief Deputy Dennis Burns is calling for vigilance for residents in McGuffey and surrounding areas. Property owners should check inside buildings and note unexplained ground disturbances or anything that might appear suspicious. Call the Sheriff's Office at 419-673-1268 and ask a detective to report any information on Bolen.

The Hardin County Sheriff's Office is continuing its efforts to determine the whereabouts of a McGuffey, Ohio, man who has been missing from his residence since late March.

The Sheriff's Office was contacted on March 31 by a family member of Michael Bolen, 66, stating that he had not been seen since March 29. Although Bolen's disappearance has entered the third month, the Sheriff's Office and its investigative division continue to search for Mr. Bolen's whereabouts – following all potential leads, conducting interviews and multiple searches. The Bureau has retained numerous law enforcement partners, including BCI&I of Ohio, the Logan County Sheriff's Office, the Hardin County Prosecutor's Office, and the FBI. Various community resources were also used.

The Sheriff's Office asks for continued vigilance from residents and surrounding areas of the McGuffey community. Property owners are asked to check the interior of buildings on their property; to notice unexplained soil disturbances, and/or anything that may appear suspicious. Anything suspicious and/or any information regarding Mr. Bolen's disappearance should be reported to the Sheriff's Office by calling (419) 673-1268, option 0, and asking to speak with a detective.
