Hamas now has fewer weapons, but still has vast arsenals

As Hamas and other terrorist groups in Gaza are cut off from their weapons supply due to IDF operations in the Philadelphia Corridor between Gaza and Egypt, terrorist groups will hunker down and use their remaining weapons. Hamas has stockpiled weapons for decades in Gaza. Almost every building contains either weapons or other types of terrorist infrastructure.

Even if terrorist groups disperse their units and fall to the ground, they will remain deadly. This is clear from the recent attacks in Gaza. The groups continue to claim success against the IDF. Although these claims are unconfirmed or exaggerated, they highlight the type of weapons the groups continue to possess.

This is a recent list of the types of weapons that terrorist groups claim to possess.

Weapon inventory

Hamas claims to have managed to shoot down a quadcopter drone in Jabalya. He apparently did so with rifle fire. Additionally, it states that it uses the Yasin 105. Reports indicate that it is a type of two-stage high-explosive anti-tank weapon used with an RPG7 launcher. He used them to target tanks as well as D9 bulldozers, according to Al-Mayadeen. Hamas also uses sniper rifles and mortars and plants explosives in buildings and tunnel traps.

Palestinian Islamic Jihad has said in recent days that it is using anti-tank missiles as well as 60mm mortar shells and 107mm rockets. It claims to operate in Rafah, as well as Jabalya and Beit Lahia. Similarly, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades claim to use 60mm mortars in their operations. They claim to carry out attacks in Rafah, Beit Lahia, Jabalya and also target the IDF in the Netzarim corridor. A third group, Martyr Omar al-Qasim's Unit, part of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, claims to have access to 107mm rockets as well as small arms.

This is likely an incomplete list of the types of weapons used, but it highlights what continues to be a common use of munitions by Hamas in Gaza. Essentially, this arsenal continues to feature large numbers of short-range rockets and mortars as well as anti-tank weapons and RPGs.

Overall, it appears that Hamas and these groups are forced to rarely resort to these weapons as they confront the IDF on multiple fronts in Gaza.

They also don't seem to lack weapons, especially when it comes to small arms. It is unclear whether they have a significant stockpile of mortars and rockets that they can continue to use. In general, Hamas did not suffer heavy losses in the central area of the Maghazi, Bureij, Nuseirat and Deir al-Balah camps, where it likely continues to have weapons reserves and may even be able to produce simple versions of the weapons he continues to make. to use.
