Six minutes later, two more people were stabbed on Walsham Road

A man was stabbed at 2.07pm on Alcott Close, and just six minutes later two more men were stabbed just a mile away on Walsham Road.

In a statement, the Metropolitan Police said: “On Thursday 4 July at 2.07pm police were called to Alcott Close in Feltham to reports of a stabbing.

“When police arrived, officers found a man suffering from stab wounds. The suspect was no longer at the scene. The man received medical treatment.

“Six minutes later police were called to Walsham Road to reports of a stabbing at the scene.

“Upon arrival, the police found two men with stab wounds. The suspect was no longer at the scene.”

The attacker is still on the run and no arrests have yet been made, police said.

The injuries to two of the victims were initially thought to be life-threatening, but police later said the three men's injuries were not life-threatening.

It is currently understood that the incident is not terrorism-related and the Metropolitan Police have said there is no connection to the general election or polling day activities.

Police are currently concentrating on the Allcot Close site where a police cordon has been put in place.

A bicycle was still visible on the pavement next to a medical kit, MailOnline reported.

A Section 60 order, giving officers additional search powers, is in force in the area, Hounslow police said on X.

The order started at 4 p.m. and is expected to last until midnight.

Scotland Yard continues to tackle knife crime more than any other authority.

Home Office data shows that a staggering 14,577 knife crimes were recorded by the Met Police in the 12 months to December 2023.

This means the Metropolitan Police deal with 29% of knife crime across England and Wales.

Home Secretary James Cleverly previously told The Sun's Never Mind The Ballots programme that knife crime was soaring in London, despite rising rates elsewhere in the country.

He criticised Mayor Sadiq Khan's “refusal to be honest about the rise in knife crime in London”.

Days before he was due to secure a third term as mayor, Mr Khan pledged to tackle street crime with a programme that includes a £3m investment in youth workers.

He said: “I want to tackle high street crime head on. We will have extra police targeting the most vulnerable areas, where people are more likely to be victims.

“I’m also investing in new youth outreach workers, who focus on those key hours after school when young people are most likely to be involved in crime in their neighbourhood.”
