Gun manufacturer arrested in Marina, police say

Monterey and Marina police detectives executed a search warrant at a Marina home they believe was used to manufacture firearms. The search was conducted near 3000 Kennedy Court around noon Thursday. Police say Richard Hall, 37 of Marina, burglarized several vehicles and storage lockers in the cities of Monterey and Salinas. In total, he is suspected of burglarizing 20 different locations in Monterey County. Hall was also found with illegal firearms. Detectives said they found tools and equipment used to make firearms, personal documents belonging to other people and other items reported stolen, a police spokesperson said. Hall was booked into the Monterey County Jail on charges of burglary, possession of stolen property, identity theft, possession of a loaded firearm in a vehicle, possession of burglary tools, manufacturing firearms, drug addict in possession of firearms, possession of a short-barreled rifle, possession of an illegal assault weapon and negligent storage of a firearm, according to police. His bail was set at $100,000, the police spokesperson said.
