A man has been arrested after police say he attacked someone with a machete during an alleged road rage incident in Colerain Township on Monday.

In a news release, Colerain Township police said officers were dispatched to the 8400 block of Colerain Avenue around 2:02 p.m. A victim at the scene reported being followed by someone after a possible road rage incident that began on Ronald Reagan Highway.

The victim and his passenger were stopped at a traffic light on Colerain Avenue when several suspects exited a vehicle and approached them, the release said.

They opened the victim's door and began assaulting him with a large machete, inflicting “significant” lacerations on his extremities, police said.

The suspects also stole the victim's shoes before fleeing the scene.

The victim was taken to hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The Colerain Police investigation led to the arrest of Patric Tucker, 38. He is charged with felonious assault and aggravated robbery and is being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center.
