Greensboro man fatally stabbed, woman charged with first-degree murder

The Guilford County Sheriff's Office has charged a woman with murder following a preliminary investigation. According to Sheriff Danny Rogers, deputies were called to a home on Venus Drive in Greensboro at 9:21 p.m. Thursday. Fullerton also faces an animal cruelty charge after an animal was found dead on the property during the investigation. According to Guilford County Sheriff's Captain Matt Holder, the dead animal found at the scene was a cat. Officials say this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public. Holder said Arnold's death marks the county's fourth homicide of 2024. “All four homicides were closed with the arrest of an adult offender,” he said. None of them have been linked, and all have been deemed to pose no other threat to our community. “Holder did not comment on whether or how Fullerton and Arnold are related. Fullerton made her first appearance Friday in Guilford County Court. The sheriff's office says she remains without bond. Her next appearance is scheduled for the 1st August. As a result of the Sheriff's Office's initial investigation, Lauren Fullerton has now been charged with first degree murder. Fullerton also faces an animal cruelty charge after an animal was found dead on the property during the investigation.

According to Guilford County Sheriff's Captain Matt Holder, the dead animal found at the scene was a cat.

Authorities say this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.

Holder said Arnold's death marks the county's fourth homicide of 2024.

Holder has not commented on how or if Fullerton and Arnold are related.
