AUTHORITY. Alright, let's get to the grass fire right away. SOME LATEST NEWS. A GRASS FIRE BURNING COSUMNES RIVER BOULEVARD JUST NEAR I-5 IN SACRAMENTO, KCRA 3'S. ERIN HEFT IS HERE NOW. LIVE. And, ERIN, it looks like this one is growing. Yeah, I'm really on the road right now. We just spoke to the PIO, the public information officer. He's trying to get some numbers for us, but this really incredible view for you and our viewers, you can see the flames and the wind here actually quite strong. And that's pretty normal in this area. It's just kind of whipping through that topography. BUT YOU CAN JUST SEE ALL THE UNITS ON STAGE. THE RESPONDING AGENCY IS THE CITY OF SACRAMENTO FIRE DEPARTMENT. And again, they're trying to scrape numbers for us right now. THIS BROKE OUT IN THE LAST HOUR AND IS ACTUALLY PRETTY SIGNIFICANT. We see a lot of smoke on Highway 5. AGAIN, WE ARE ON CONSOMME RIVER BOULEVARD. IT'S A PRETTY ACTIVE AREA, ESPECIALLY AS THE MORNING ROUTE BEGINS. AND IF PEOPLE SEE SMOKE, IT'S FROM THIS FLAME. NOW AGAIN, IT'S A GRASS FIRE, SO IT MOVES QUICKLY, BUT IT TENDS TO BURN OUT PRETTY QUICKLY. And the firefighters, they can take care of things like that quickly. Smoke could be seen from the highway as the morning commute began. It is unclear what exactly caused the fire. No injuries or property damage have been reported at this time.
