Granite Falls woman suspected of shooting husband

Around 7:20 p.m. Tuesday, Snohomish County Sheriff's patrol officers were dispatched to the 35000 block of Mountain Loop Highway for a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located the victim, a 43-year-old man, with a gunshot wound to the chest.

The victim was transported by paramedics to Providence Regional Medical Center. The condition of his injuries is not known at this time.

During the initial investigation, a 46-year-old Granite Falls woman, who lives with the victim, was taken into custody on charges of first-degree assault and domestic violence.

There is currently no danger to the public as the scene was quickly brought under control by deputies and all persons involved have been accounted for.

The filming location is right next to the blue bridge on the Mountain Loop Highway.

The investigation is currently ongoing.
