“The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department is honored to receive this prestigious award in the criminal justice and public safety category from the National Association of Counties, alongside Gordon Philanthropies. This recognition highlights the importance of our collaborative efforts as part of the Children's Libraries Initiative By installing children's libraries in the libraries of all Los Angeles County Jail Visitor Centers, we are fostering a family-friendly environment, promoting literacy and education. “This initiative affirms our commitment to making a positive impact on our community and ensuring that even in difficult circumstances, children can access resources that inspire and educate,” shared.
