Glynn County Police Arrest One Person After Shooting Sunday Morning

GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) – The Glynn County Police Department (GCPD) has arrested a woman following a shooting that occurred Sunday morning.

The incident happened shortly before 5 a.m. Sunday. Glynn County Police officers responded to a call of shots fired on Breckenridge Drive. Once on scene, officers learned that shots had been fired into an occupied home. GCPD was able to identify 28-year-old Taylor Steedley as the suspected shooter.


Detectives located Steedley at a home on Johnston Street. GCPD conducted a search of his home and vehicle. The search uncovered a firearm, ammunition and various controlled substances.

Steedley has been charged with four counts of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of certain felonies, discharging a firearm near a public way and other charges are pending.

This incident was investigated by the GCPD Criminal Investigation and Uniformed Patrol Divisions, with assistance from Crime Scene Technicians.
