Girl's brother and father kill her teenage boyfriend in Navi Mumbai; 1 inmate

The police arrested the girl's brother and filed a complaint against him and her father.

Thane:

Police arrested a 24-year-old man after he and his father allegedly killed his sister's 18-year-old boyfriend in Maharashtra's Navi Mumbai municipality, officials said on Monday.

The incident took place on Sunday afternoon after the accused's sister called the victim, a resident of Devichapada in Panvel, to her home in the same area.

The accused then returned home and knocked on the door, but his sister did not open it. He then forced the door and found his sister and her boyfriend in the house, an official at Taloja police station said.

The accused then called his father and both allegedly attacked the victim with a sickle and spade and killed him, he said.

After being alerted, the police rushed to the spot and sent the body to a government hospital for post-mortem.

Police arrested the girl's brother and registered a case against him and his 45-year-old father under sections 302 (murder) and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code, the official said.

An investigation was underway into this matter.
