GH Teen Surprises Friend With Silver Bouquet For Birthday: 'Best Friend With Benefits'

A Ghanaian teenager has left her best friend in awe after giving him a surprise on his birthday.

The lady, identified as Mariam, presented a bouquet of money, made up of GH¢5 notes, as a gift to her best friend.

In a video seen by YEN.com.gh, the young man, dressed in a school uniform, was captured standing next to a roadside table when the lady appeared from behind to surprise him with the silver bouquet and some other gifts in a small bag .

The young man, identified on TikTok as @angeldoeboy1, excitedly grabbed and hugged his best friend.

He was then heard thanking Mariam for making his day memorable.

“God bless you Mariam. I'm so happy, what woman would do this for her best friend? I'm even shocked,” he said:

A male voice heard in the background said the GH¢5 notes used for the money bouquet amounted to GH¢1,000.

The voice further referred to Mariam and @angeldoeboy1's friendship as “best friends with benefits.”

Mariam denies dating her best friend

Internet users who stumbled upon the video flooded the comments section to congratulate the young girl. Other comments also suggest that there is more to the friendship between the two teenagers than what they claim.

However, Mariam, using the TikTok username @Nana Akuah dolla1, quickly quashed the suggestions, denying the existence of any romantic relationship between her and @angeldoeboy1.

Much to the lady's disappointment, her boyfriend didn't show up, making all her efforts in vain.
