GBI arrests teen in connection with Georgia shooting investigation

CUTHBERT – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has arrested a 16-year-old boy in connection with the shooting investigation of a teenager.

On Friday, June 28, 2024, the GBI and the Cuthbert Police Department arrested and charged a 16-year-old boy from Cuthbert, Georgia with aggravated assault. The arrest is in connection with a shooting that occurred in Cuthbert, Georgia.

On Friday, June 28, 2024, the Cuthbert Police Department requested the GBI’s assistance in an investigation into a shooting on Oak Street in Cuthbert, Georgia, in which a 16-year-old male was found with gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to Phoebe-Putney Hospital in Albany, Georgia, where he was treated for his injuries.

The 16-year-old was taken to a regional youth detention center in Columbus, Georgia.
