Gardai launch urgent search operation to find missing 16-year-old known to frequent Dublin area

GARDAI have launched a public appeal to help find a 16-year-old girl who has been missing since Saturday.

Gardai are urgently appealing to the public for help in tracing the whereabouts of the young people.

The missing teen is described as 5 feet tall, with a slight build, blonde hair and blue eyes.

It's unclear what Abbie was wearing when she disappeared.

Cops said she frequented the Ballybrack area of ​​Dublin.

Gardai are desperately seeking information on the teenager's whereabouts.

They urged anyone with information on Abbey's whereabouts to contact Bray Garda Station on 01 666 5300, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

In a statement, a Garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí are asking for the public's help in tracing the whereabouts of Abbey O'Brien, 16, who was last seen on the evening of Saturday 8 June 2024 in Bray, Co. Wicklow.

“Abbey is described as being around 5 feet tall, with a slight build, blonde hair and blue eyes.

“It is not known what Abbey was wearing at the time of her disappearance.

“Abbey is known to frequent the Ballybrack area of ​​Dublin.

“Anyone with information on Abbey’s whereabouts is asked to contact Bray Garda Station on 01 666 5300, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.”

Separately, Gardai are seeking the public's help in locating Yasser Ramadan, who was reported missing from Tralee, County Kerry, on Thursday June 6.

Yasser Ramadan, 15, was last seen around 2pm in the town of Tralee on Thursday June 6.

The teenager was described as being around 5ft 7ins tall and with a slim build.

He was last seen wearing a black tracksuit and white trainers.

He has dark brown hair and brown eyes.

Yesterday, police launched an urgent appeal for information on the whereabouts of Yasser Ramadan.

And they urged anyone who may have details to come forward at Tralee Garda Station or contact them on the confidential line on 1800 666 111 or at any Garda station.
