Garage destroyed by fire in Perry Wednesday morning | Raccoon Valley Radio – The One to Count On

A garage in the town of Perry was destroyed Wednesday morning after a fire broke out.

Perry Fire Chief Grason Hill told Raccoon Valley Radio that emergency crews responded to the fire at Willis Avenue and 16th Street around 4:40 a.m. Hill notes that residents of the home woke up early Wednesday morning to find their garage on fire, and at this time he says the cause of the fire is undetermined. He describes how the fire spread beyond the neighbor's fence, where it was contained to avoid causing further damage.

Hill mentions that no one was injured in the fire, but comments that the garage is considered a total loss. The Bouton and Woodward fire departments assisted. According to the Perry School District, the fire affected internet connectivity and caused an interruption in phone service. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as soon as it becomes official.
