Yesterday evening, officers from the Vicaria-Mercato police station noticed a man on Via Firenze who, acting suspiciously, approached an individual sitting on a step and shortly after handed him something in exchange for money. The police, after observing the scene, intervened and managed, with some difficulty, to reach and apprehend the suspect, finding him in possession of 5 packages of marijuana weighing 0.6 grams and 525 euros in small denominations. The man, a 23-year-old Gambian, was arrested for illegal possession and trafficking of drugs and resisting a public official.
