“The biggest, bravest teen brothers are forced to fight solo.” Paramount+ has debuted the full official trailer for the animated spinoff series titled Tales from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which will debut in August later this summer. It is a sequel to the hit animated film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem from last year, one of my favorites too. Set after the events of the 2023 film, the Turtles arrive on the streets of New York, where they face new threats and team up with old allies to navigate teenage life. They end up fighting a villain known as “Bishop” and his robot henchmen who are trying to get rid of the mutants. The trailer sets up the “they must fight alone” concept quite well. Micah Abbey, Shamon Brown Jr., Nicolas CantuAnd Brady noon reprise their roles from the film as the Turtles, alongside Ayo Edebiri reprising her role as April O'Neil. This series is the fifth TMNT animated television show and was originally announced last year along with the sequel to Mutant Chaos. They continue with the sketch look of Mutant Chaos, mixing it into a Saturday Morning Cartoon-style 2D animation. Looks like it should be entertaining! It's always a fun time with the turtles.

Ramsey Naito, President of Paramount Animation and Nickelodeon Animation, added: “Reinvigorating this franchise has been years in the making and we are excited to continue to expand the beloved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles universe and deliver new adventures to families and fans.” Based on the TMNT characters created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, and the film Mutant Chaos written by Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg & Jeff Rowe and Dan Hernandez & Benji Samit. It is also produced by Christopher L. Yost and Alan Wan. This new series Tales from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will debut streaming on Paramount+ starting in August 9, 2024 later this summer.
