From memoir to film: Salman Rushdie to recount infamous stabbings in upcoming documentary

Author Salman Rushdie is set to be the subject of an upcoming documentary, based on his memoir. Knife: meditations after an attempted murder.

According to Variety, filmmaker Alex Gibney is attached to direct the documentary. He has worked on projects like To Be Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief, Taxi to the dark side, The inventor: out for blood in Silicon Valley And Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room.

The British-American novelist of Indian origin released his memoir on April 16, 2024, which focuses on his life, career, August 2022, stab and subsequent recovery.
